What's all the fuss about Portofino?

    Love um or hate um, Portofino Condominiums has caused a stir on Pensacola Beach since they came off the drawing board. Fast forward and the plans that were presented by Levin & Rinke years ago have been put in place. Interesting that all the artist renderings have been transformed to actual buildings and landscaping.

     No matter who you ask, everyone has an opinion about Portofino. Rather than taking sides please look at Portofino as an opportunity to own beach property on Pensacola Beach in an upscale atmosphere that we previously never had.

     Today there are 47 two bedroom condos for sale ranging from $325,000 to $699,900. There are 18 three bedroom condos for sale from $575,000 to $1,000,000. WOW! Isn't that a lot for sale? Not really...There are 765 condos at Portofino with 65 listed. That's 8.5% which is just a bit high compared to other condos. Why the differences in prices? The market would be the number one reason, however as with all beach property, your choice of view, location in the building, upgrades to decor all influence prices . Finally, the position and situation of the seller has perhaps the greatest impact on price.

          Without question, prices at Portofino have come down, and with interest rates at record lows it is in fact a great time to buy.  Check out Beach MLS on this site for a list of Portofino condos for sale then look at the layouts below that should be helpful to place where any condo is located in the five towers. Another rumor of sorts are the association fees are at Portofino. Below is the current fees for 2009 and the lease fees for each tower. 

          With 65 to choose from, just pick out where you want to be and at what price and we can probably find a good fit. This however is 20 less than we offered just 2 months ago. Yes, Portofino is selling and at great prices!
